This wonderful villa is the embodiment of Nordic-inspired perfection in a fabulous rural setting close to Ronda. An old Spanish farmhouse with 23 hectares of land has been converted into a modern villa with 5+1 bedrooms, spacious enough to accommodate up to 14 guests in the main house and a separate guest house. Surrounded by olive groves, just a 15-minute drive from the centre of Ronda, it features a full-size football pitch, a private swimming pool (heated on request) with magnificent views, and a games room.
Walking along the sandy path through the double gates, you will see a beautiful converted farmhouse, shining white among a sea of olive trees against the backdrop of a rocky mountain peak. In the foreground is a wonderful swimming pool with sun loungers, facing an idyllic landscape of fields and hills. Inspiring family togetherness, a lovely vine-covered gazebo creates a picturesque setting for al fresco breakfasts or candlelit dinners.
The entrance to the villa is marked by a traditional Andalusian courtyard with a well, where brightly blooming bougainvillea cascades down the white walls. Ancient doors open into a double-height hall, where an antique glass chandelier suits perfectly. The villa's bedrooms are a mix of minimalism and bright design accents, such as beautiful four-poster beds, custom-designed tables, and woven rugs scattered over authentic terracotta tiles that stay cool in summer and warm in winter. For larger groups, an additional guest house with its own kitchenette is available.
In total, the villa can accommodate up to 12 adults and an additional 2 children on sofa beds. The spacious living room is located on the ground level of the main house (660 sq. m). It features a large sofa and coffee table facing a plasma TV. The neutral colour palette of bluish-grey tones and faded linen creates a calm atmosphere, complemented by an abundance of natural light. The terracotta floors are an original feature of the old farmhouse. Thick blankets and scattered cushions add to the feeling of warmth, while the open fireplace provides extra cosiness on winter evenings.
The excellent kitchen perfectly combines authentic features with modern facilities such as smooth Dekton worktops, a LOFRA aga gas stove, a coffee machine, an oven, and a wine fridge. The open-plan dining room features a family dining table complemented by a custom-made wooden bench and three wicker chairs that can seat over 12 guests. This dining room, directly adjacent to the kitchen, is the perfect place for long family lunches and casual dinners, especially with the doors open to the olive groves. You can also light up the barbecue and dine alfresco on the covered terrace, enjoying the cool breeze blowing over the fields and the birds singing.
Located on the first level, the games room offers excellent conditions for family leisure activities — a full-size shuffleboard table, table football, and a games console guarantee hours of entertainment. Outside, you can start your day with a relaxing walk through the olive groves or kick a ball on the full-size football pitch. Those who prefer more peaceful activities can enjoy a coffee on the terrace overlooking the countryside or settle down with a good book on a sun lounger by the pool.
The spacious master bedroom on the first level offers excellent views, a four-poster bed (180 × 200 cm) with a designer headboard, an eclectic mix of modern and vintage furniture, including linen armchairs and a beautiful wooden table, a walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with a traditional bathtub with hand shower and separate shower cabin.
Bedroom 2 on the first level is accessed via the library or the central courtyard. It has a double bed (180 × 200 cm) and views of the olive groves. A traditional bathroom with a bathtub and hand shower, located at the end of the corridor, is shared with bedroom 3 (located at the opposite end of the staircase from bedroom 2 and offering a double bed 180 × 200 cm and a charming wicker bench).
Bedroom 4 is located on the ground level behind the kitchen. It is a spacious room featuring a double four-poster (180 × 200 cm) and a linen-upholstered sofa bed, access to a private patio with a table and chairs, and a Moroccan hammam-style shower room.
Bedroom 5 on the ground level, accessed via the main courtyard, offers a double bed (180 × 200 cm), views of the patio and gardens, and a traditional tiled shower room.
Bedroom 6 (included for groups over 10 guests, or can be added for an extra fee for smaller groups) is located in the guest house at the rear of the property. It is a large suite with a vaulted ceiling and a separate kitchen equipped with all amenities. A partition separates the sleeping area with a 180 × 200 cm bed from the living room with a large TV and a double sofa bed. There is also a bathroom and a private terrace with a seating area and a table.
All bedrooms and the kitchen in the main house offer air conditioning for hot summer days. A heating system is available throughout the house for cold winter nights. The villa is powered by its own solar panels and batteries. Wi-Fi in house via Starlink and Smart TVs in the main living room, guest house, and in the games room.
The outdoor spaces have been designed to make the most of the villa's advantageous location amongst the green Andalusian countryside. The house is surrounded by olive groves, where horses and a donkey graze in the shade among the trees. The gardens are minimalist but immaculately landscaped. Rows of lavender bushes are planted in gravel beds. Orange and fig trees grow around the perimeter, and in spring, an arch of wisteria covered with bright flowers blooms at the entrance. The magnificent swimming pool is complemented by sun loungers where you can doze in the morning sun and listen to the soothing sound of a decorative waterfall.
The villa is located 15 minutes' drive from the city of Ronda in the province of Malaga, one of the oldest cities in Spain, affectionately known as the City of Dreams and steeped in centuries of history. It was a favourite place of Orson Welles and Ernest Hemingway.
If you dream about the ‘real Spain’ and want to live like a local, fully immersed in Andalusian culture, Ronda is the perfect place for you. A passion for tradition runs through the veins of every local, and reminders of centuries of history can be found on every street corner and along the cobbled alleys of the historic old quarter. There are many ways to learn about the history and culture of Ronda, from the famous bullring to the ancient Arab baths, numerous museums, the history of flamenco, and a historical and cultural programme that rivals that of Spain's largest cities.
The beauty of Ronda lies in the fact that it is surrounded by stunning countryside and is also famous for its eco-gastronomic traditions. The Serranía de Ronda wine route runs through rugged countryside dotted with family-run boutique wineries where you can sit down to lunch, taste wines, and listen to the owners' stories. A short drive from the villa, you can visit these award-winning wineries, cheese and olive producers. Or enjoy the impressive scenery and engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and climbing.
Even the journey from Malaga to Ronda is a stunning experience (we highly recommend you visit the city of Malaga during your stay). Leaving the airport, you will drive through the green Guadalhorce Valley, dotted with citrus groves, then climb higher, past the picturesque ‘white town’ of Ardales, through silvery olive plantations and finally to the pine trees and foothills of the Serranía de Ronda.
The villa is located approximately 85 km (1 hour drive) from the beaches, golf courses, and coastal towns of the Costa del Sol (San Pedro/Marbella) and 113 km (1.5 hours) from Malaga airport and city. There are several supermarkets and boutiques in the surrounding area selling local crafts, clothing, and handmade shoes. Ronda is full of restaurants and bars, from traditional tapas bars with flamenco evenings to Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants.
